Custom feature fencing

Custom fencing in Auckland

We build short runs of custom fencing, usually 10 to 20 metres across the front of a property, designed for that home and built to match the gate and letterbox. It's the first thing people see from the street, so every panel is drawn up to fit before we make it.

Custom fencing

What we build

Front & entrance fencing

The run either side of your driveway and path, designed with the gate so the whole frontage reads as one piece.

Aluminium slat panels

Vertical or horizontal slats with the spacing you choose. Powder coated, won't rot or rust.

Steel feature panels

Flat bar, box section or laser-cut screens for a heavier, architectural look.

Courtyard & privacy screens

Short screens for courtyards, decks, heat pump units and bin areas.

Letterbox & lighting built in

Letterbox pillars, intercoms and lighting set into the fence line and wired by our own electricians.

Posts, footings & concrete

Footings, nib walls and mowing strips done as part of the job.

Short runs, done properly

Our fencing jobs are usually around 10 to 20 metres: the front of a section, an entrance or a courtyard. That's where design matters most, and where the fence has to line up with the gate, the letterbox and the house.

We don't take on long boundary, rural or bulk fencing. If that's what you need, a specialist fencing contractor will do it better and cheaper.

Drawn to scale first

Every fence is drawn in plan and elevation before we build it, like the 8.2 m frontage on our work page. You see the post positions, slat spacing and heights before anything is cut.

Privacy, light or both

Slat spacing decides how private a fence feels. Tighter gaps give more privacy; wider gaps let light and breeze through and suit front fences where you still want to see the street.

Height rules

Most residential fences up to 2.5 m high don't need a building consent, but some Auckland zones limit front fence height. We check what applies to your property before we quote.

Frontage package

Add a custom letterbox and make it a package

Most clients pair the gate with matching fence panels and a letterbox pillar. Designed and drawn together, the whole frontage lines up, from slat spacing to post heights.

FAQ

Custom fencing: common questions

How much fencing do you do?

Short runs, usually 10 to 20 metres, designed for a specific property: front fences, entrances and courtyards. We don't do long boundary or rural fencing.

Do I need consent for a new fence?

Most residential fences up to 2.5 m high don't need building consent, but zone rules can limit front fence height. We check this for you.

What's the lowest-maintenance fence?

Powder-coated aluminium. It won't rot or rust, and a wash with water keeps it looking sharp.

Can you match my existing gate?

Yes. Send us a photo and the measurements, or we'll measure it when we come out.
