Electric & automatic gates

Electric gates in Auckland

Automatic sliding and swing gates, built and wired by one team. We make the gate, install a Centurion motor, run the power and set up your remotes and keypad. New gates, or automation added to the gate you already have.

Electric gates

Automation options

Sliding gate motors

Best for wide driveways and sloping sites. The gate runs along the fence line, so it needs a clear run beside the opening.

Swing gate motors

Single or double leaf gates, with a motor on each leaf. Needs clear space behind the gate to open.

Solar-powered gates

For rural blocks and long driveways where running mains power isn't practical. Solar panel with battery storage.

Remotes & keypads

Centurion remotes for the household and a keypad code for visitors and tradies. Extra remotes added any time.

Intercoms & video

See who's at the gate and let them in from inside the house or from your phone.

Safety beams

Photo-electric beams and obstacle detection so the gate stops and reverses if something is in the way.

Power to the gate, sorted

Most electric gate jobs need power run out to the gate post. Because we're electricians, that's part of our job, not another trade you have to organise. We run the cable, fit the isolation switch, connect the motor and supply an electrical Certificate of Compliance for the work.

If mains power isn't practical, we'll quote a solar setup instead.

Sliding or swing: which suits your driveway?

Sliding gates suit wide openings, sloping driveways and short driveways where a swinging leaf would hit the car. Swing gates suit flat entries with room behind the gate and are often simpler to automate.

We measure up and tell you which works best for your site before you commit to anything.

Centurion gate motors

We use Centurion gate motors, remotes and keypads on the gates we automate.

Keep it running in a power cut

Every gate motor we fit has a manual release, so you can always open the gate by hand. Ask about battery backup if you want the gate to keep working when the power is out.

FAQ

Electric gates: common questions

How much does an electric gate cost in Auckland?

It depends on the opening width, gate material, motor and how far we need to run power. A simple automated swing gate costs far less than a 4 m architectural slider with an intercom. We measure up and give you a clear written quote.

Can you automate my existing gate?

Often, yes. If the gate is solid, hangs straight and moves freely, we can add a motor. If it needs new hinges, rollers or a straighter track first, we'll tell you.

What happens in a power cut?

Every motor has a manual release so you can open the gate by hand. We can also fit battery backup so it keeps running for a while without power.

Do you supply the electrical certificate?

Yes. The electrical work is done by our own team and we supply a Certificate of Compliance for it.

What brand of gate motor do you use?

Centurion, for motors, remotes and keypads.

Can I add extra remotes later?

Yes. We can code in extra Centurion remotes or set up new keypad codes whenever you need them.
