Swing gates

Swing gates in Auckland

A good swing gate opens with one hand, closes flush and stays square for years. We build single and double swing gates for driveways and paths, from simple and practical to fully custom, with or without a motor.

Swing gates

Swing gate options

Single driveway gates

One leaf across the opening. Simple, strong and good value on narrower driveways.

Double driveway gates

Two leaves meeting in the middle. Shorter leaves need less room behind them to swing.

Path & side gates

Pedestrian gates for paths and side yards, with latches and locks that line up properly.

Pool gates

Self-closing, self-latching gates for pool areas, installed to suit pool barrier requirements.

Swing gate motors

Centurion motors mounted neatly on the post, quick to install and easy to service.

Remotes & keypads

Centurion remotes for the household and a keypad for visitors.

Why swing gates sag, and how we stop it

Most sagging gates come down to posts that weren't set deep enough, or hinges that can't carry the weight. We size posts and footings for the gate, and fit adjustable hinges so it can be tuned over time.

Check the space behind the gate

A swing gate needs clear space to open into. A driveway that rises toward the house can stop the gate opening fully. We check this when we measure, and suggest a sliding gate if swing won't work.

Any style, any budget

FAQ

Swing gates: common questions

Single or double gate?

A double gate needs less room behind it because each leaf is shorter. A single gate is simpler and usually costs less. We'll recommend one when we see the site.

Can a swing gate be automated later?

Yes. Tell us when we quote and we'll allow for the motor mounts and power so it's easy to add.

My gate is dragging on the drive. Can you fix it?

Usually. It's often worn hinges or a post that has moved. See our repairs page, or send us a photo.

Do you build pool gates?

Yes. We fit self-closing, self-latching hardware and set the gate up to suit pool barrier requirements for your property.
